Donna Freyer is a dedicated horsewoman. Determination would best describe her career, whether it be pursuing her education at Dartmouth College or a berth on the 3-Day Olympic Team.
She immersed herself in the racehorse industry after a winter of galloping in Aiken, South Carolina. She received her first trainers license in Maryland when Frank Whiteley sent her there with a small string of horses.
She continued her racing education and eventually trained at Belmont Park for 10 years. She made a permanent move to Camden after her major owner retired from racing.
